Big Betty, bouldering brush

Big Betty is our biggest lady in the shop, and what a diva she is!

This hand-filling brush consists of a broad wooden handle, a soft plastic separator and hard bristles that make cleaning a breeze. Thanks to the separator, which is made from a mixture of recycled plastics, the climbing surface won't get scratched when you brush it. This is because the material that's used is softer than both rock and the paint that's found on indoor climbing walls.

Available is both hard (vegan) and soft bristles. The bristles are anchored in deep holes to prevent any unwelcome shedding. You can easily replace them (with IP40-L or IP40-LH replacement brushes) once they've been worn down by all that vigorous cleaning! To swap them out, simply grab a hex key - the kind that comes with IKEA products 😊 (not included) - and unscrew the old bristles from the handle. Then, pop in the new set, and you're good to go!

This feature not only makes brushing more sustainable, but it also allows you to try out different bristles too. If you don't like the hard ones, simply replace them with a soft version - it's that easy. Finally, this fantastic product is handmade in Germany, at social workshops that are attended by people with disabilities.
