Despite this climbing area being next to a main road and right under the smoke of Namur, it is surprisingly quiet. Rochers des Grands-Malades is characterized by flat holds, pressure and back pressure, balance, and the occasional crack. The rocks are mainly vertical, except on the far left on 'La Grande Muraille', where there is a small overhang. There are about 80 routes and variations, and an aerial via Ferrata. Most of the routes are grades 5 and 6, making the climbs technical and rewarding.
