Escaper, rapel rope release

Beal Escaper device allows rappelling the full length of a single rope and releasing it from the anchor.

The ESCAPER rappel system allows you to rappel down a single strand of rope and then retrieve it. It works with all ropes with a diameter greater than 7.3mm. Compact and quick to install, its textile construction also makes it very light. We strongly advise familiarizing yourself with its use before your first outing. When should the ESCAPER rappelling device be used?

• The need to rappel when only a single rope is available.
• When one of the two rappelling ropes is defective and unusable.
• In freeride or ski-mountaineering, when the abseiling rope is too short to be used in two strands.
